“The best rooms have something to say about the people who live in them.” This quote by David Hicks resonates with me very much. Although I have learnt a lot of practical and technical skills from my Interior Design and Architectural Draftsman diplomas, I find the most crucial part about successful interior design is creating a space that truly suits the person who occupies it. After all, if the client truly loves it, it will never go out of style.
Over the years, spatial design has become a specialty of mine and I have a great passion for renovations. There is something about thinking outside the box while sticking inside the box (the existing footprint) that unravels a unique, exquisite design.
Recently I have found myself drawn to industrial/mid-century modern schemes with a dark mood although all design resonates with me. Rather than following popular trends, I like to enhance the clients brief to ensure their space is not only liveable but enjoyable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
After many years designing kitchens, bathrooms, and homes, I have joined Nextdore Interiors to expand on my already in-depth interior design knowledge and skills. There is so much to learn from this creative and driven team.
