This ‘before and after’ case study demonstrates the difference interior design can make! When one of our interior designers purchased this home, they knew it had great bones, but needed a bit of interior TLC.
The lounge boasts plenty of natural light, with a ranch slider out to the outdoor living area, but heavy furniture and dark drapes were making the space feel small. Our designer carefully selected light, luxuriously textured furniture and drapes to create a space that still feels cosy, but no longer confined.
The dining area has been modernised with striking monochrome wallpaper, complemented by a feature pendant light to draw people towards the gathering space. Natural materials - including a timber dining table, ceramic vases and cowhide rug - ensure that the room feels welcoming, rather than stark.
In the living room, furniture choices make all the difference. Organic forms, inviting textures and soft curves flow through the space. Accent cushions add personality without becoming distracting; the result is a living room that feels cohesive, modern, and comfortable.
The bedrooms have been transformed into enticing havens of peace and relaxation. Thoughtful lighting choices and window treatments bring privacy and comfort to each room, while accent fabrics - used sparingly - add complexity and visual interest.
The bathroom transformation is subtle, but significant; while many of the original elements remain in place, refreshed decor and a new wood-toned vanity add warmth to the space. Thriving indoor plants and a botanical arrangement make the room feel fresh and rejuvenated.
